- When I was expecting my first child I received a cross stitched gift which stated "Make sure to give your children "roots" and when they are older their "wings". I have never forgotten that admonition. Part of a rich heritage comes from knowing where you came from. This blog is dedicated to my parents in hopes of remembering some of their growing up years-their roots,some of their memories from years past.
